Romanian Police anti-crime ad makes crime look really fun.

(click ad, via)
Whee! Crime Spree!
I don't get this. Maybe it's the translation? I can't access the url in the ad to find out more. Maybe they were overrun by criminals? Ad agency: Mercury 360. Previously, the Romanian police installed mini-roads in bar urinals to challenge drunks to piss a straight line. Also via Romania: the sexist car insurance commercial ever.

You cannot access the site because it runs on Microsoft Silverlight, which is stupid. They could have used Flash. Anyway. There is not much information on that site, and the design is really really really bad. At least this ad, like you said, looks kinda fun.

What I think they are trying to say is that once you enter gang life, you exit real life (violence vs. non violence, etc). How much research did they conduct to arrive at that conclusion?

I'm not sure about the "breakout plan".

Stupid.

It reminds me of when litte Billy in Family Circus would run feral through the neighborhood. It's even dumber as an ad (n anti-gang ad at that)than it was as a cartoon!

Makes perfect sense. See the arrows on the road and the numbers on the red shirt? It's like a maze map from start to finish (i.e. prison). Note they're going into the prison, not out. If this is too complex -- maybe Romanians are more savvy.

Looks pretty.

Yes, cheese, I now see that. Looks pretty——pretty obtuse for a police ad.
